Journal Prompts

Weekly Journal Prompts

To know me is to know that I have a deep love for journals. Apart from God, my journals have gotten me through some pretty dark times. I never had to worry about them telling my business or judging me. They gave me the space to be myself. I could write about a situation as much or often as I wanted to. I sometimes like to go back and re read them, and man, lets just say I cringe at some of the things written in them LOL! Talk about first hand embarrassment.

There are many benefits of writing in a journal.

  1. It helps to clear your mind, literally. Think of it as de-cluttering.
  2. It helps you to see and recognize your patterns.
  3. It helps improve emotional regulation.
  4. You can capture memories.
  5. It’s low pressure. You don’t have to be perfect, you can be or write as messy as you’d like.

You don’t need a fancy journal, you can use a regular notebook. You can decorate it however you want to. After all, it’s yours.

Now, with that being said, here I will post some journal prompts that you can use to write in your journal if you need a little inspiration. Me personally, I just freestyle and write whatever I am feeling. But as of lately, I’ve been doing a lot of self reflection and incorporating journal prompts in my journal has really been helping.
